Expedition 2009 – day fourth and five – 30th – 31st of December 2008
The group moves from Kampala to Kasese and from Ibanda inside the Rwenzori Mountain National Park. the 31st night the group stay in Nyabitaba Hut.

Expedition 2009 – day three – 29th of December 2008
On 29th the group have been working on the preparation of the luggage and of the scientific staff for the expedition, waiting for the “lost laggage” arriving in Entebbe airport.
The group is hosted by the ONG AVSI. L’Umana Dimora is working with AVSI to the organization of an educational congress to be taken in June/July 2009 in Kampala.

Expedition 2009 – day Three – 29th of December 2008
All the day spent in Kampala, working at the organisation of the expedition and waiting for the lost luggage coming from Entebbe airport.

Expedition 2009 – day two – 28th of December 2008
The group of three researchers arrives in Kampala in the night of the 27th hosted in the NGO AVSI, from 30 years active in Uganda, in particular in medical and educational projects. Unfortunately one luggage did not arrived and some scientific staff will not be usable in field !

Expedition 2009 – day one – 27th of December
This is the fourth expedition to the Rwenzori Mountain National Park. The group is composed by myself, Giorgio Vassena, president of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Alpine Club, and by two volonteers of the Environmental Association L’Umana Dimora, Filippo Bernini and Benedetto Omezzolli. The group start from Milan Malpensa airport to Entebbe.

The tasks of the expedition are:
- To check and download the data of the meteorological station installed by the University of Brescia and by the Italian Alpine Club in the location of Bujuku, in the Rwenzori National Park.
- To check the presence of GPRS signal close to the summit of Mount Stanley, to plan the next location of another meteo station
- To install termometers to check the temperature of the rocks in Mount Stanley (under the scientific supervision of the University of Milan, Proff. Claudio Smiraglia and Guglielmina Diolaiuti)
- To install a permanent geodetic reference point for crustal measurements by GPS in Mount Stanley
